Pona Scout Lodge & Campsite

Bringing Together Nature, Community and Sustainable Development

The Pona Scout Lodge & Campsite is located in a Georgian mountain village approximately 150 kilometres from Tbilisi. The site forms part of a local eco-village dedicated to sustainable development and community-based living.

The spacious grounds include camping areas, covered picnic facilities, sanitary infrastructure, as well as sports and recreational spaces. During the camping season, the campsite welcomes youth groups and visitors from Georgia and abroad who make use of the area’s diverse outdoor opportunities.

The surrounding region offers ideal conditions for nature experiences, hiking and international youth camps. Visitors also benefit from the proximity to renowned attractions such as the Lagodekhi Protected Areas and the historic town of Kvareli.

In addition to the campsite, the local foundation Youth Eco-Village operates several houses within the village, surrounded by orchards, vineyards and agricultural land.

CCFYD’s goal is to further develop Pona as a high-quality meeting place for Scout groups and international visitors, while complementing the activities and programmes of the International Scout Centre Rustavi.
