International Scout Centre Rustavi (ISCR)

International Youth and Exchange Centre in Georgia

The International Scout Centre Rustavi (ISCR) is the flagship project of CCFYD and an important hub for international youth exchange. The centre is located in the industrial city of Rustavi, approximately 25 kilometres south-east of the Georgian capital, Tbilisi.

In 2009, the foundation acquired a dilapidated villa in Rustavi and transformed it into a modern international youth centre during a two-and-a-half-year renovation period. Young Georgians were actively involved in planning and implementing the project. The centre was officially opened in 2013.

Today, ISCR offers accommodation, seminar and conference facilities, as well as a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities. Youth groups, schools, universities, organisations and international visitors use the centre for camps, workshops and exchange programmes.

In addition to its buildings, the centre features a large camping area with capacity for up to 300 people. The facility is operated by a local Georgian team and welcomes groups from around the world.

Since its opening, the centre has welcomed approximately 1,200 visitors each year and records around 6,500 overnight stays annually. Guests from numerous countries come together here to learn from one another and develop new perspectives.

The international exchange of knowledge, experiences and cultures helps foster understanding between different societies and prepares young people for a shared future.
